Part of Circle of Hope

Singapore, 6 March - 5 April 2015

This is a figurative installation as a part of my previous solo exhibition "Circle of Hope" at Concourse Esplanade, Singapore.
The flying birds suspended at varying heights within The Theatre Street Cones, are evocative of freedom and empowerment and made from bleached organic materials and wood.

NAFA'S RESIDENCY

In 2013, I had joined a residency programme which held by NAFA'S.
(yeah I know it's a super late post. My bad not often to update my blog..)

NAFA'S Residensi offers an art residency program that is designed to provide artists with the opportunity to focus on their practice and research.
It took place in Yogyakarta from September to December 2013. The participating artists were Hirzaq Harris (Malaysia), Meor Saifulah Lulaed (Malaysia), Mulyana (Yogyakarta), and me.

In the showcase of residency works, I presented artworks through an installation which contains shoes and a door as its components. The shoes are arranged in a certain number symbolising the traces of every individual lives.
